Vincy, who displays talents in street, product and creative photography, specializes in visual art in which snapshot is her favourite way for recording and aesthetic creation. Apart from photography, Vincy also shows her interest in Western painting and Chinese ink-wash painting, and have focused on practicing sketching skill in recent years.
In March 2011, she was nominated as one of “The Ten Outstanding Warriors of Regeneration”. She was also selected as the “MaD Model” and “Hong Kong Spirit Ambassador” in 2009 and 2010 respectively to encourage young adults to persevere with optimism and a relentless, can-do attitude which is Hong Kong Spirit. Through her publications “Reflection Visual Journal in Tai Kok Tsui” and “I Came Across Gradually!”, she wants to share her stories in life, creation and experience with everyone.
Vincy was born to be spastic due to Cerebral Ischemia, affecting her faculties of limbs and speech. She had to suspend from school for medical treatment after two accidents a few years ago, during which she reflected on her future and realized that her true aspiration lay in art and thus actively equipped herself in the art field upon recovery. In 2005 to 2006, she completed the Higher Diploma in Graphic and Media Design with Distinction, and then obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Visual Communication (Graphic Design). After graduation, she became a freelance graphic designer and a workshop assistant at ADAHK to gain knowledge in teaching persons with disabilities.
Vincy hopes to share her experience of overcoming struggles with more people and promote positive messages, particularly to the disabled ones who are aspired to develop their career in art, as well as to further her education in painting and photography.
