ADA Angel. Gold Medalist of Documentary Photography and Portrait Photography in “The 7th and 8th International Abilympics”. He is one of the delegation members of the “2010 International VSA Festival, Washington D.C.”.
He is devoted to photography and inspired by many famous photographers, including Mr Au Yeung Chi Kong, Venerable Chang Lin, Mr Picasso Chang and Mr Ducky Tse. He has received many awards in the local and oversea public photography competitions and actively participated in various exhibitions including Cross all Borders: 3+3 Photo Exhibition 2009, Hong Kong Photo Festival 2010 and Exhibitions by Photographic Club for the Deaf. In 2011, he was invited by LCSD’s Art Promotion Office to be one of the photographers of “12 Oil Street”, to lead a group of mentees to record the historical moment and raise their awareness of the history and culture in Hong Kong.
He was born with hearing impairment and rejected by the main-stream secondary school when he moved to Hong Kong at the age of 15. However, he has outstanding performance finally under his self-constantly improvement. In 2005, he was awarded “The Outstanding Disabled Employees Award”. In 2010, he is the ambassador of the Vibrant People, Harmonious Community Activities by Home Affairs Department. In 2011, he was given the “Award for the Quest of Excellence” of “To Hear with Love” Scholarship Program and Gold Award of “The 4th Youth Arts Festival ‘Arts and Positive Energy’ Youth Award Presentation Ceremony 2011”. He was also elected as the “Hong Kong Spirit Ambassador” in 2013 which aims to encourage youngsters to build up the positive value of life through sharing his own experience to schools and community.
As a keen photographer, he also contributes to the society. He spends his spare time being a photography volunteer in charities activities. He looks forward to furthering his study in photography to explore different ways and means. He hopes to encourage people with hearing impairment to learn photography to communicate with the world and feel the joy of life.
