Kai Tuen was born with Retinal Degeneration, yet it does not cause her to cease her pursuit in art. She studied music in her early years, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in translation and linguistics, in which the knowledge she attained benefits her songs and lyrics writing.

After she retired and received rehabilitation training in 2008, she started to share her experience with different organisations and also work as an assistant in Dialogue in the Dark. Moreover, not only has she become a pop song singer and Cantonese Opera performer, she has also worked as a voice-over narrator, and she shared her life experience with the public while performing and hosting in a RTHK programme “A Wall-less World”.
