Leung Po Chu (pen name: Bingling) is interested in many forms of art including writing, dancing, music and drama. Her interest in writing first developed when she was awarded in a writing competition organized by Western District Community Centre during her secondary school years, and she later became a member of the Hong Kong Young Writers Association. She gave herself a pen name “Bingling” to pay tribute to the author of a Japanese novel Freezing Point after reading it.
Po Chu actively performed dancing, as well as choreographed, directed and performed modern dances and Chinese folk dance in her college years, her works include “Luo Shen”, ”Spring”, “The Rhythm of the Sea”, “We are the World, We are the Children” and “The Fairy of Lotus”.
Po Chu started learning Chinese painting in recent years and joined different art training courses, while winning the second-runner up in a poster design competition of “The 2nd Ex-mental Patients in Hong Kong Conference: Finding the key to happiness”. She wishes to further her pursuit of aesthetic truth, goodness and beauty, enriching colours and inspirations to life.
